Our Story
We created Dandelion with a passion for hair, art, and a healthy, wealthy lifestyle. It is our desire to make every one of our beautiful guests feel confident in their look and give them a serene space where they can trust that they will have an exceptional salon experience and leave feeling emotionally, physically and mentally fulfilled.
A few years ago we were introduced to the power of essential oils and plant medicine. The effect that it has had on ours and our families lifestyle has been nothing short of amazing! We want to share this power with you! Every experience with us, including your take home products have been carefully thought out and selected to be good for our environment and naturally healthy for our guests! We introduce aromatherapy to our wash house treatments and homemade seasonal teas to help you relax. Take home one of our specially curated oils for the hair and skin or create your own custom oil combination.

You will choose to visit me for good hair but will stay for the care & connection. I believe beauty captures the eye, but personality captures the heart. Growing up in a small lake town in Pa, I dreamed of a career that allowed me to be creative and emotionally free with a good work/life balance. I followed my heart after touring The Temple: A Paul Mitchell Partner school and enrolled right away. To this day I’m so thankful for that choice; having that foundation truly set me up with the confidence to achieve success and the freedom to create the career I desired. Success to me is being wealthy in health: emotionally, physically, spiritually & then financially. Balance is key. I moved to Baltimore right after graduating in 2010 and dove straight into building a clientele and even achieved Paul Mitchell National Educator status. Teaching other stylists was really fun for 2 years but teaching my guests at least 1 new thing and giving them an amazing experience one on one, is the most important to me. I'm a hair problem solver that is always learning & can break down easy explanations and show my guests what's possible with their hair. I am addicted to hearing my guests say, “wow i learned so much, or “I can't believe no one has ever shared that!” Care too much? Nah... while my #1 priority is maintenancing my guests based on hair goals, integrity & budget; our sessions usually dive deeper into any element of life/family. I LOVE learning things from my diverse guests and always keep it 100%, no judgement zone, no fear of being weird in my chair! Being a stylist for 11+ years, I've never been more in love with my guests and this industry. I think it's important, as a stylist enhancing someone's crown jewel, one should be comfortable doing any fabric of hair. I believe that can be one small step in a positive direction of bridging the gap in cultural differences and stigmas when it comes to hair. One person's impact on others is immeasurable and I like to imagine I've touched many, I know my guests continue to inspire me every day! Any color desired from bold/vivid to lived-in/subtle; and any cut from sharp/edgy to shaggy/natural is in my toolbox. Chemical services including relaxers, permanent waves, and keratin straightening are also some of my specialties. Formal styling updos and utilizing a number of types of extensions are also a part of my arsenal. If you’re that person that plans their self-care and needs that ‘always goes the extra mile, truly invested stylist’, then I'm your girl, so let's book a consultation! Peace, Love, & Happiness.

I became a cosmetologist by chance, I became a badass, professional and talented hair artist by CHOICE! My career began at the age of 18 in my hometown of Salisbury, Md (about 30 minutes from the ocean, yes, I miss the beach). In 2008 I stepped out into the world of beauty and I never looked back! At the time I had no idea what a successful hairstylist looked like and I was simply trying to make ends meet to feed my two young children, Kobe & Karter (who are truly the light of my life). It wasn’t until I moved to Baltimore in 2012 that I saw what the future could look like for me! After working in so many different salons, with so many different walks of life I was able to hone my skills. I began to realize that I had a unique ability to make every human, no matter what the color of their skin or texture of their hair, feel right at home in my chair. My guests feel comfortable to talk with me not only about their hair struggles, but also about what REALLY going on in their lives. I like to think that I am just a part of the fam!! Most of my guests will tell you that I am down for anything (that won’t destroy your hair), big transformations make me smile so hard! Especially when I turn a guest around for the first look and the reaction is priceless! Some of my specialties include bold color, curly haircuts, clipper designs, and extensions! I feel so blessed to have chosen a career that constantly keeps me on my toes AND makes people feel and look their absolute best! Salon experience has taught me how to do great hair, life experience has taught me how to communicate with people, and family experience has taught me how to live a healthy, wealthy, and balanced lifestyle. I encourage all of my guests to do the same with things that make you smile, feel beautiful and breath deep breaths of satisfaction! I got into essential oils with Young Living after my best friend (Molly) started telling me about how much she loved it and now, not only do I use oils every day, but my kids also LOVE them! It makes my heart happy to know that they are learning how to care for themselves in a natural way. If you love a bold look, great convo and inspiration, and are looking for a stylist who wants to be there for you in ways more than just your hair care- LET’S TALK!

Cosmetology has been in my heart from the very beginning. I fell in love with it as a kid, kept the spark alive through high school, and developed it even further as an adult. I love helping people walk out feeling amazing, giving them precisely what they’re hoping for—or sometimes even more. There’s nothing quite like seeing someone light up when they see the final look! Outside the salon, you’ll find me on a mission trip, exploring somewhere new, or diving into a good book (please come with suggestions!). I’m rooted in my faith and love connecting with people from all walks of life, valuing every experience and conversation. But when you’re in my chair, it’s all about you—your vibe, your goals, and making sure you leave feeling like the best version of yourself. I’m uniquely proud of my journey so far. I graduated in 2021 and started in my home studio, offering hair, makeup, and nail services. Over the last two years, I’ve been honing my craft independently while giving back through volunteering at community centers around Baltimore City. Now, I’m ready to grow even more as an Assistant and Junior Stylist at Dandelion Hair and Apothecary, gaining hands-on experience to take my skills to the next level. Why should you choose my services? Education is everything, and I’m passionate about working with all hair types. Specializing in curly and kinky textures, I’m committed to learning what’s best for each client. My clients know that I’m here to create and educate, guiding them toward better hair care with an understanding of what works for them. To me, success is building a loyal clientele who trust me and value the experience as much as the style. Ready for a new look or a fresh perspective? Book with me, and let’s create something unique together!
